The Struggle to Keep up With the iPhone

It used to be that technology had to keep up with life, but these days it’s life that has to keep up with technology. There is no better example of this than the world’s sprint to keep with Apple. The computer company has made a name for itself these days for inventing some of the latest and greatest products. Perhaps the most innovative product they have made is the iPhone. While it’s other products were groundbreaking, no product was more groundbreaking than the iPhone.

Since the iPhone came out there has been an enormous push to be associated with the popular product. Companies have bent over backwards to get themselves onto the iPhone. This, of course, has bled onto their iPad and the iPod Touch, but it’s all about the iPhone and the frenzy it has created for technology companies all over the world.

One of the things that companies immediately started to do was make custom applications for the iPhone. The most notable was the banking centers who made it easy to do online banking. A user could check balancing, manage bill pay, and transfer funds with just a touch of the button.

One of the better advancements is that many cable companies are now making it possible for users to program their televisions and change their channels from their iPad or their iPhone. For instance, DirecTV allows users to set and cancel recordings on their DVR through the use of their iPhone. In addition, XFinity allows users to actually use their iPad as a remote control.

Of course, the television isn’t the only place in the house where users can have control away from home. There are programs that will operate the lights in the house. So if users want a light on for safety reasons, or they want a light off to save on electricity, all of it can be done from the comfort of their own touch screen.
